Michele Alexander joined Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz's Tax Department in 2006. She advises a wide range of clients on tax strategies for various business transactions, including reorganizations, acquisitions, joint ventures, financings and cross-border investments.
Ms. Alexander is the co-author of the Tax Management Portfolio, "Structuring Real Estate Joint Ventures with Private REITs," which is published by the Bureau of National Affairs. She also is the author of "Tax Issues in Business Separation Transactions," which appears in the treatise Business Separation Transactions (Law Journal Press).
Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Alexander was a partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg and an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
Ms. Alexander received her B.A. in Communications magna cum laude from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) in 1992 and a J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1995. She is a member of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association. |
