| Richard K. Kim is a partner in the Corporate Department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he specializes in representing banks, thrifts, insurance companies, credit card issuers and other financial institutions in connection with mergers and acquisitions and regulatory matters. Previously, he was a staff attorney with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System where he worked on a wide range of regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions involving bank holding companies, banks and investment banks. He also was Assistant General Counsel with NationsBank Corporation.
Mr. Kim is a graduate of Stanford University (A.B., 1983) and Columbia Law School (J.D., 1986). He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association where he previously served as Chair of the Mergers and Acquisitions Subcommittee of the Banking Law Committee. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund and a former trustee of The Stanwich School. |
