Theodore A. Levine is Of Counsel at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. Mr. Levine joined Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz as Counsel in July 2003. Prior to joining Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, Mr. Levine was Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President of UBS PaineWebber Inc. He joined PaineWebber Group Inc. in June 1993, prior to its merger with UBS AG, and held the position of Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel. He began his career in 1969 as a trial lawyer with the Securities and Exchange Commission, remaining there for 14 years, where he rose to the position of associate director in the Division of Enforcement. In February 1984, he joined the Washington, D.C.-based law firm of Wilmer, Cutler and Pickering, where he was a partner for nine years.
Mr. Levine was admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Virginia in September 1969, the District of Columbia in May 1970, the Supreme Court in 1980, and the State of New York in August 1993. Mr. Levine holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
