Joshua A. Naftalis is an associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in the litigation department, which he joined in 2005. He focuses on corporate, securities, and other complex commercial litigation, including litigation related to mergers and acquisitions, as well as white-collar criminal and regulatory matters.

Mr. Naftalis received his B.A., magna cum laude and with distinction, from Yale University in 1999, and his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2003, where he was a James Kent Scholar and Managing Editor of the Columbia Law Review. Prior to joining Wachtell Lipton, he served as a law clerk to The Honorable John M. Walker, Jr., Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and to The Honorable Carol Bagley Amon of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. Naftalis is the author of "'Wells Submissions' to the SEC as Offers of Settlement Under Federal Rule of Evidence 408 and Their Protection from Third-Party Discovery," 102 Colum. L. Rev. 1912 (2002).
