With a background in litigation and insolvency practice, Meyer G. Koplow has helped to fashion and negotiate some of the largest and most creative settlements over the last 20 years.  Along with major class action asbestos and disabled persons settlements, Mr. Koplow was the principal negotiator of the Master Settlement Agreement that resolved issues between the major tobacco companies and the states.  He helped achieve a resolution of the issues in the first large multijurisdictional insolvency proceeding for the bank creditors of Maxwell Communications.  His recognized expertise is in the resolution of complicated and contentious legal and business issues.

Mr. Koplow received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Brandeis in 1972 and his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1976 where he was the executive editor and note and comment editor of the New York University Law Review.
