Carla Alonso is a visiting attorney in the Corporate Department of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she focuses on M&A, corporate law and corporate governance.

Prior to joining Wachtell, Carla worked in the M&A – Private Equity practice area at Uría Menéndez Abogados, S.L.P. in Madrid (Spain).  She has significant experience representing clients in connection with domestic and cross-border acquisitions, mergers and restructurings in a variety of sectors, including financial, infrastructures and telecommunications.  Carla has also advised listed and unlisted companies on corporate law and corporate governance matters.

Carla received her Spanish degree in law and business administration and management from Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (CUNEF) in 2016 and her master’s degree to access the legal profession in Spain from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2017, graduating with honors and special distinctions.  

Carla is admitted to practice law in Spain and England and Wales and speaks Spanish.
