David E. White Jr.
David E. White Jr. is an associate in Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz’s Restructuring and Finance Department.
Mr. White received a B.S. in Sociology from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as the Executive Submissions Editor of the online component of the Harvard Business Law Review. Mr. White also served as the Chief of Staff and a member of the Executive Board of the Harvard Black Law Students Association. As a student attorney with Harvard Law School’s Recording Artists Project, Mr. White provided pro bono representation to musicians and other entertainment clients throughout the greater Boston area.
Prior to law school, Mr. White served on active duty as a U.S. Army Officer in a variety of domestic and overseas assignments, including as a Scout Platoon Leader in Kandahar, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 11-12. Presently serving as a Captain and Military Academy Liaison Officer in a reserve component of the U.S. Army, Mr. White advises Members of Congress and their staff on the Service Academy nomination process and how to increase diversity among candidates nominated.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. White clerked for the Honorable Paul J. Watford of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
