Pedro A. García Ampudia is a visiting attorney in the Corporate Department of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he focuses on representations of domestic and foreign companies and investment funds in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances.  

Prior to joining Wachtell, Pedro worked in the Corporate Department of the law firm Mijares, Angoitia, Cortés y Fuentes, S.C. in Mexico City.  He has significant experience representing local and foreign companies, private equity funds and banking institutions in mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings, corporate governance matters, and capital markets transactions, in Mexico and internationally.  He has also experience representing Mexican parties in sports and entertainment matters and disputes before local and international sports authorities.

Pedro received his Bachelor of Laws in 2014 from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.  He received his LL.M in corporation law from New York University School of Law in 2022.

Pedro is a native Spanish speaker and is also fluent in English.
