Takahisa Kusunoki
Takahisa Kusunoki is a visiting attorney in the Corporate Department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
Prior to joining the firm, Takahisa worked in the Corporate/M&A department of the law firm Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in Tokyo, Japan. He has significant experience advising on complex cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, and regulatory matters. His work spans IT business integrations, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures across multiple jurisdictions. He routinely manages due diligence, drafts and negotiates definitive agreements, and coordinates with foreign counsel to ensure seamless closings. His expertise includes navigating foreign investment regulations, structuring public M&A transactions, and supporting minority investments in emerging technologies. He also provides comprehensive legal services in both English and Japanese, advising on corporate governance, marketing and finance regulations, and compliance with Japanese statutory frameworks including the Companies Act, Civil Code, and labor laws.
Takahisa received his LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He received his J.D. from Keio University Law School.
