Adebola (Bola) O.M. Olofin

Adebola Olofin is an associate in Wachtell Lipton’s Litigation Department. His practice focuses on representing organizations and directors in high-stakes litigation arising from mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance disputes, alleged breaches of fiduciary duty, and other complex commercial matters in state and federal courts and before arbitral tribunals. He has represented clients across a range of industries, including financial institutions, technology and media companies, and industrial firms.

Mr. Olofin maintains an active pro bono practice, representing indigent defendants in federal criminal cases and low-income New Yorkers in administrative proceedings before the Immigration Court.

Mr. Olofin serves on the Board of the Federal Bar Council. He is also a member of the Joint E.D.N.Y.-S.D.N.Y. Rules Committee, a court-appointed body that works with both district courts to recommend amendments to their local rules.

Mr. Olofin graduated magna cum laude from Cornell Law School and was elected to the Order of the Coif. While at Cornell, he served as an honors fellow in the first-year legal research and writing program and participated in the moot court program, winning the Rossi Moot Court Competition and reaching the semifinals of the Cuccia Family Moot Court Competition. He received his B.S. in Criminology and Political Science from Florida State University, where he captained a nationally ranked mock trial team.

Before joining Wachtell Lipton, Mr. Olofin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edgardo Ramos of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Honorable James A. Wynn, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
