Derrick L. Parker Jr.
Derrick L. Parker Jr. is an associate in Wachtell Lipton’s Corporate Department.
Derrick received his B.A. in Political Science from Morehouse College, where he graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of his class. He was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. At Morehouse, Derrick was Gates Millennium Scholar, Coca-Cola Scholar, GE-Reagan Scholar, and a Truman and Rhodes Scholar Finalist. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and Harvard Defenders. At Harvard, Derrick was also selected as a NAACP Legal Defense Fund Scholar and National Bar Association: Gateway to Success Scholar. Derrick was selected as a member of the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
Derrick previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Raymond J. Lohier, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Duane Benton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
