Clayton S. Hackney is an associate in Wachtell Lipton’s Tax Department. 

Clay received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School. He received his B.A. in Economics with Highest Distinction and Highest Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar and received the Chancellor’s Award in Economics.

Before joining the Firm, Clay worked at the International Monetary Fund.
