Emily E. Samra
Emily Samra is a Partner in Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz’s Antitrust Department. Her practice focuses on analyzing competition issues in mergers, acquisitions, auctions and joint ventures, and advising and representing clients before federal, state and foreign antitrust authorities. Emily represents parties across a broad range of industries, including banking and financial services, consumer products, energy, industrials, pharmaceuticals, and technology.
Emily received her B.Sc. in Economics and Financial Mathematics from the University of Michigan. She received her J.D. with High Honors from The University of Chicago Law School, where she was a Kirkland & Ellis Scholar (top 10% in her class) and a member of the Order of the Coif. She also served as a Comments Editor on The University of Chicago Law Review and was a member of the Doctoroff Business Leadership Program. Prior to joining the firm, Emily served as a law clerk for the Honorable Raymond M. Kethledge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Emily also serves on the board of Good Sheppard Services in New York City.
