Karessa Cain named Mergers and Acquisitions MVP for 2024 by Law360
Karessa Cain, a partner in Wachtell Lipton’s Corporate Department, has been recognized as a Mergers and Acquisitions MVP for 2025 by Law360.
Karessa’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and corporate and securities matters. She has worked on a wide range of transactions, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, private equity transactions, spin-offs, takeover defense, shareholder activism and proxy contests, joint ventures and capital markets transactions.
In the interview, Karessa discusses her approach to complex deals and reflects on her recent achievements, including her role in eBay’s $4.3 billion acquisition of Adevinta ASA and the $60 billion all-stock acquisition of Hess by Chevron.
