Apollo Funds in connection with Legendary Entertainment’s buyout of Wanda Group’s remaining equity interest
On October 14, 2024, Legendary Entertainment announced that it had completed a buyout of Wanda Group’s remaining equity interest. As a result of this deal, Legendary is now solely owned by company management and funds managed by affiliates of Apollo, which in 2022 made a $760 million minority equity investment.
