Bachan’s, Inc. in its $400 million acquisition by The Marzetti Company

On February 3, 2026, The Marzetti Company (Nasdaq: MZTI) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bachan’s, Inc., the fast-growing Japanese Barbecue Sauce brand known for its delicious, authentic, clean-label products, for a purchase price of $400 million in cash.  Bachan’s is a leading Japanese-American flavor brand led by founder and CEO Justin Gill.
