Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority in its sale of the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun to the Tilman J. Fertitta family

On March 30, 2026, Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun franchise to the Tilman J. Fertitta family, the current controlling owner of the NBA’s Houston Rockets.  The Sun will continue to play their home games in Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut for the 2026 WNBA season, and will move to Houston for the 2027 season.
