Global Payments in its $24.25 billion acquisition of Worldpay from FIS and GTCR

On April 17, 2025, Global Payments Inc. (NYSE:GPN), a leading worldwide provider of payment technology and software solutions, announced that it had entered into two definitive transaction agreements pursuant to which Global Payments has agreed to acquire Worldpay from FIS® and affiliates of GTCR for a total valuation of $24.25 billion and to divest its Issuer Solutions business to FIS for a total valuation of $13.5 billion.
